DIALOGIC AS THE DOMINANT CATEGORY OF SCIENTIFIC DISCOURSE TEXTS

Abstract

The article discusses one of the most important text categories of scientific discourse  — the category of dialogicity. The scientific text combines the features of monological and dialogical speech in the contaminated form, therefore it is of special research interest. Pragmatic, anthropocentric and discursive approaches to the description of linguistic phenomena provide an additional opportunity to expand the research horizons, methodological devices and system of theoretical concepts projected on the text material. As a result of this approach, the speech material is discussed from the communicative point of view. For the texts of scientific discourse the most important category is the category of dialogicity. Pragmatic attitudes and subject action that are relevant for scientific communication are realized in the text space, namely: argumentation in the sphere of rational influence, conscious control of attention of the addressee, metatext comments, modal truth-evaluation, formulation of hypotheses, discretization of the submitted information. On the basis of the empirical material of the modern German language verbal means and communicative strategies of explicit manifestation of dialogicality and named pragmatic attitudes in the texts of scientific discourse — linguistic articles published in specialized npublications are discussed. There is a wide variety of language tools used, which is illustrated by numerous text examples. Involved are diverse linguistic means, but in the article the emphasis is on a systematic description of the lexical tools, semantic features and communicative potential. As a result, the mechanisms of language representation of cognitive operations necessary in the process of research and presentation of its results to the scientific community are revealed. These operations include the following categories: identification, synthesis, separation, juxtaposition, comparison, reference to authority, and distancing, the result evaluation, criticism, clarification, clarification.
